Suite No. 7

A boutique hotel suite exploring depth, texture, and restful light.

Suite No. 7

A room that asks you to exhale.

The brief

Suite No. 7 occupies the top floor of a boutique hotel near Porta Venezia in Milan. The room is narrow, with a slope ceiling, and lantern facing the courtyard. The challenge was not generous footage but that age-old luxury question: how do you get a guest to exhale within seconds?

I followed a singular proposition - everything the hand touches must feel intentional. The bed linens are hand-spun Belgian flax, the walls are raw plaster with a warm chalk pigment, the wardrobe panels are black charcoal graphite that drop in deep, soft reflective.

Lighting descends without glare: the main piece is a silk-cocoon reading lamp that floats as though held by the air. No clutter: each floor detail earn its place.
